Celtic spirit set for Bridgewater

MANCHESTER is likely to be painted green when music show Celtic Woman kicks off its UK tour in the city in September.

It has has already enchanted audiences across the globe - selling 500,000 tickets in the US alone - toured Japan, South Africa, Germany and Canada.

Now, the biggest show out of Ireland since Riverdance is set to take UK by storm.

Described as The Riverdance Of Voices, Celtic Woman was created to feature the talents of four young Irish female vocalists and a young fiddle player.

The original members will be joined by New Zealand singing sensation, Hayley Westenra (the world's best-selling classical artist, pictured) on their UK tour.

The five women, vocalists Chloe, Lisa, M?av, Orla, Hayley and fiddle player Mairead, are led by David Downes, a prodigious young Irish talent, who has previously worked as musical director of Riverdance.

Is this part of the European tour? What other cities are they visiting? I haven't found this information on the CW website yet.
