3-5 lb Ham
Cider to cover
1/2 Cup of brown sugar
1 tsp of mustard
20 whole cloves
Cover ham with cold water and bring slowly to a boil. Replace water with the cider. bring the cider to boil and then lower the heat, keeping the liquid barely simmering for 20 minutes per pound. Remove from heat and allow to stand in the liquid for 30 minutes. Take ham out, skin it and score the fat with a sharp knife in a diamond patten. Place the whole cloves in the ham. Mix the sugar and mustard and rub in well into the surface of the ham. Bake in a pre heated oven for 10 more minutes per pound. _________________ May your day be touched
by a bit of Irish luck,
brightened by a song in your heart,
and warmed by the smiles
of the people you love.
